Preparing for the exhibition

With two weekends to go. here’s how you can plan your time.

Weekend 1: 4th august

  • Complete your design and find ways of presenting your ideas in an interesting way using drawings and models

  • Weekend 2: 11th August

  • Decide what other artworks will be exhibited and refine them

  • Discuss model stand. How will you create it?

    Weekend 3: 17th or 18th August

  • Create mini exhibition and test out the display in real life. Then for next week (exhibiton) all you need to do is take it outside

  • Create invitation cards for your family and design a poster to hang at the gate.

On the date of the exhibition- 25th August, 3-5pm.

  • Schedule: plan ahead to have everything ready by 3pm. If it rains, let’s postpone the exhibition to the following Sunday, same time.

  • Give each model a name that describes the big idea. Ex: ‘Rainbow garden’, ‘playscape’ ‘game street’ (any language is ok)

  • In addition to the models, you can prepare drawings, pictures, sketches that explain more details of your idea.

  • Students should be prepared to explain their street furniture idea to guests

  • Document feedback: all volunteer teachers should be making notes on what feedback was received for that model. what was the visitors favorite project? Why? Ask them what needs to be improved.

  • End the afternoon with a three cheers for the students! HOORAY!
