Intro

Today we will learn about types of street art and discuss:

Can art change the world? What messages do street art convey?

Think about a theme and draw a sketch of street art you would like to see. What messages does your art convey?

What would your vision for Nagahaswatte be if it had street art in it?

Guide

Step 1: Take a look at various examples of Street art and learn about them. Discuss: Are there more types of Street Art than what is shown here? Which one is your favorite and why?

Step 2: Take a rough piece of paper and draw some symbols popular in Street art. What colors would you combine? What method would you use?

Step 3: Combine into groups of two or three. Discuss how you Design your own street art, and make a miniature mural using one or more of the methods above.

Step 4:Discuss what message your art portrays and what a suitable location for it would be if it were a real mural.
